High quality Van Damme SPOFC Classic Instrument cable terminated with a Neutrik Silent jack and a 6.35mm mono jack.
Please note: This cable should only be used with guitars. The Neutrik silent jack utilises a magnet and reed switch to short the signal (Tip of jack) to ground as the jack is removed from your guitar. The result is no buzzes, cracks and pops when disconnected, and enables you to "hot swap" guitars without muting / turning your amp down.
Neutrik connectors have gold plated contacts. Van Damme Classic Instrument cable is highly flexible and durable. Its conductors feature a mixture of ultra pure silver plated oxygen free copper (UP SPOFC) and ultra pure oxygen free copper (UP OFC). The benefit of UP SPOFC is that silver is approximately 5% less resistive than copper. In particular, this benefits the conductivity of the high frequencies, reducing attenuation. That is, the "sparkle" that is often lost when using cheaper, inferior cables.
The cross-linked polyethylene used in the conductor insulation was chosen over conventional insulation materials for its low dielectric constant, which is essential in minimising the attenuation of high frequencies. The outer jacket is a PVC/neoprene composite that offers flexibility, even at sub-zero temperatures.
